From the very beginning of the day, Steve (day manager) made us feel at ease and very calmly dealt with any request we threw at him. He made the whole thing feel very easy and everything was done without fuss. The changing around of the room was done so discreetly, barely any of the guests even noticed it had happened. The food was fantastic, as were the staff who again dealt with everything quickly and efficiently with smiles on their faces. To top it all off, the barn looked like a fairytale!

I had seen The Tithe Barn on Instagram about a year before I got engaged and I had screenshotted it for the day I would be engaged. I got engaged in 2021 and after viewing a few closer venues (just something was missing) I thought I would just book a visit….. and WOW! As soon as myself, my mum and my now husband stepped foot in the barn, I just knew it was the one for us. Fast forward nearly 2 years we had our wedding day on 8th March and it was everything and more than I could have imagined.
Throughout the whole organising progress, the online website specifically for couples who have booked is so easy to use, the inbox feature is brilliant and any questions I had were responded to in less than 24 hours. Everyone I spoke to both in person (at our second viewing) and on the online inbox was so accommodating from start to end. I cannot tell you how stunning the barn is in person, pictures just don’t do it justice.
Every single person who attended my wedding constantly commented on how it was the most amazing wedding they had been to, not only just for the day but the venue played a massive part in that. Even at the night time, the venue was just beautiful. The surroundings were stunning as I’m sure most people know and I loved how I could see the Abbey from the barn. All the staff on the day were so lovely, especially Holly who was exceptional and always made sure I had a drink in hand, fluffed my dress and was just amazing. I could be here all day, but if you are looking at this venue, please do not hesitate in going for a look around. It will blow you away.

We got married in December 2023 at the Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, and so many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. It required very little decor because everything looked perfect as it was. The food was lovely (lots of comments about the dauphinoise potatoes in particular!). I emailed quite a few times prior to the event and always received a quick and helpful response. Julia was great in the run up to the wedding, and Holly and Laura could not have done a better job on the day/night. Thank you for a wonderful wedding!

We had our wedding at this stunning venue in the first week of December 2023, and WOW! It really couldn’t have been more perfect. The lighting was amazing and it was so cosy, classy and warm. The food was incredible and we added the pizzas for the evening and I can honestly say that they were the best pizzas I have ever eaten. The staff were patient and polite and a special mention to Julia and our Registrar who were both really fantastic and made everything feel so so special. Julia also did our flowers for our wedding and they were exquisite, a very talented lady. The sound system is awesome too. Finally the stunning surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside and all its small local stone villages really does seal the deal. This venue is perfection, its staff are wonderful and the surroundings are so beautiful. 10/10. Could not recommend more highly.

We’ve always loved Bolton Abbey and it is particularly special to my family so it was always going to be an option for us to get married when the time came.
We looked at a couple of different options but as soon as we saw the Tithe Barn we knew it was the one. All the decoration that makes the barn so beautiful is included and the staff were unbelievable.
I was initially a little sceptical about the messaging system they have to keep in contact with the bride and groom but actually it worked surprisingly well. Messages were always answered and always within less than 24hrs, which really helps with planning and keeps things as stress free as possible.
I think it’s worth mentioning the food because we found it so brilliant. We went to a couple of feast nights because food was important to us and we wanted to get the menu right. We loved everything we chose and the people with dietary requirements especially all commented on how good the food was, it was lovely that they didn’t feel forgotten.
On our wedding day, the team were so slick and prepared. My husband had a checklist of everything he needed to do when he arrived at the venue but the team had already done everything by the time he had arrived, again making the process so easy and stress free. I know that there is a debate as to whether you need a wedding coordinator to go alongside a venue coordinator but our opinion is that it’s just not necessary here. The Tithe Barn team were amazing and we couldn’t recommend them more.

I can honestly say our wedding at The Tithe Barn was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The building itself is out of this world with the most beautiful views, it is picture perfect!! The team were fantastic to communicate with and responded consistently via the online portal. Attended a big, Yorkshire wedding here and had a blast. Great food and top service but the location and setting are amazing! The barn is large, very well appointed, superbly and tastefully decorated and is only a few hundred metres from the Abbey. The ceremony, dinner and dance floor were all managed in the same area with staff smoothly and efficiently converting the space between each.

When you walk into the venue you are blown away by the historic architecture and romantic atmosphere. The Cripps team have made this place come alive!
On the grounds and in the local area there are loads of great opportunities for fantastic wedding photographs.
In the evening there is a fantastic sound system and loads of space for a packed dance floor even with a large live band playing too.

As the only venue we viewed, we were enchanted by the Tithe Barn from the moment we first walked in. The warmth and beauty of the venue instantly set inspiration in motion for us, and with its soft glow, we decided it was the perfect reception setting for a winter wedding - plus it’s proximity to the beautiful Bolton Priory is an added bonus for those wanting a church service.
From the point of booking we were set up with an online portal which gave us clear guidance on when payments were due, what options we had chosen for our food/drink, and a direct chat function with the venue team. This was really helpful for a quick reference and any questions were always answered promptly. Throughout planning, Sharon and her team were incredibly helpful at planning meetings and if we wanted to drop in and see the venue for any reason. The chefs were fantastic at accommodating guests with dietary requirements, providing details of alternative options in advance. They also very kindly allowed us to personalise elements of our food options too. When it came to the big day, our guests were delighted to be welcomed so warmly from church. The drinks were perfect, the food delicious, and the running of everything very smooth. Every single one of my guests has commented on what a wonderful venue it was and how great the staff were. Our band sounded brilliant on the barn’s sound system, and we all danced the night away. The venue staying open until 1am is a real added bonus too. All in all, an amazing day at an utterly incredible venue. Thank you so much to every member of staff who helped make our day so special!

Right from viewing The Tithe Barn in Sept 2019 through to our big day, Sharon and the rest of Team Tithe have been just brilliant.
This was the first and last venue we viewed - we immediately fell in love with it. Wow, what an incredible setting for a wedding! We looked at several venues and were blown away by The Tithe Barn. Set in the idyllic Yorkshire Dales, overlooking Bolton Abbey, this venue had everything you could possibly want for the perfect wedding day, with decorations included (fairy lights, lanterns, greenery etc.) in the cost. The team were incredibly helpful and responded quickly to any questions that came up ensuring a stress free, seamless day that ran to perfection. The food was delicious, and we received many comments from the guests that this was the best wedding and food they had ever experienced. The guests could watch the chefs at work during the afternoon which was a unique feature of the barn, and enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the firepits in the evening. My husband and I have spent many a day walking our dog at Bolton abbey and when we started planning our big day we knew we wanted it to be somewhere that means something to us. When we returned for a visit once the barn had opened we were lost for words- this venue is truly beautiful. We were impressed throughout the planning process by the efficient communication from the team, no question too small. When the day came everything went wonderfully. We were blessed by an unexpected hot sunny day in September and this just added to the glory of the venue. Every guest commented on setting and the relaxed but organised feel to the day. This was something that sold us on this venue. One of our favourite memories was sitting down to eat and watching our guests laughing and talking as they put on their chef’s hats and dished our the food. No venue compares to this

Our wedding at The Tithe Barn was perfect! Having grown up around Bolton Abbey when we saw this venue was opening we knew it was for us. The interior has been executed with such detail the whole place looks stunning. Prior to the day the whole team were so helpful and every detail got looked after. Everything was perfectly delivered on the day and nothing was a problem. You could tell the team appreciate that it's your day and are willing to help make it as personal as possible. So many guests told us how fantastic the food was and as quite a fussy eater myself I thought it was brilliant. Such a wide choice that there's something for everyone.

From the moment you step inside the venue your breath is taken away - there truly is no other venue like it. The location is absolutely perfect and has an amazing view of the Abbey. The team were extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and made our experience completely stress free. Food was delicious and our veggie menu even had the hesitant meat eaters telling us how amazing it was! Everything was spectacular but words simply don’t do justice to the venue or the team.

Tithe Barn is a truly stunning venue! One of my friends who got married recently told me she had serious barn-envy of this place. The food was incredible - both the steak and the veggie options were fantastic. Massive portions, and served "family-style" which got everyone on the tables talking. My husband and I got married at the Tithe Barn last month and it really was the best day of my life. Not only is the barn absolutely breath taking but everything is just executed to perfection. We knew the barn was for us when we visited it in December 2017, before it had been renovated. Even then we fell in love with it. The renovation did exceed all expectations though and it was truly wonderful. Before I got married, people had told me that it would be the most stressful time with all the planning and arranging. I'm guessing these people didn't get married at the Tithe Barn! The planning was an absolute joy and the staff at the barn made this an absolute breeze, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this place enough and I would do everything again in a heartbeat.

The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey is a truly magical venue. We can't really begin to explain how amazing our day was thanks to the staff, food & drink and the location & decor. It was a dream come true- 5* location, 5* service, 5* everything. It would not surprise us to see the Barn become one of the UK's most sought after wedding venue! We had to bring our wedding forward a year due to a family illness and the staff at the barn (especially Sharon) were so unbelievably helpful and supportive. If you are looking for a venue for your dream day then honestly look no further! We first discovered The Tithe Barn when the vision for the conversion was just a bunch of concept sketches and there was still a digger inside, but immediately we knew the space was going to be incredible. We watched the progression of the building online and couldn't believe our eyes when we came for the Feast Night (highly recommend doing this as it changed a fair few of our food choices!). The venue was more incredible than we could have possibly hoped for. The build up to our wedding was seamless with the online portal allowing for swift responses from the team. Now to the day... absolutely everything was just simply fantastic. The staff were brilliant and blended into the background whilst also being on hand immediately if needed. We had so many compliments from our guests about the quality (and quantity) of the food - many saying it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We had both our ceremony and reception at the barn and the transition from ceremony set up to reception was flawless - and so quick! Lastly - the views were just breathtaking. We were fortunate enough to have great weather all day which allowed us to get pictures at both the front of the barn and on the terrace overlooking the priory. The garden space has been finished to such a high standard and is fabulous for the drinks reception. If you haven't booked The Tithe Barn yet, just do it. There honestly isn't a better place to get married!

Wow....What a venue! We had the most AMAZING wedding day at The Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey. It was beyond anything we could have imagined. The barn, the staff, the food.... everything was truly amazing. “We were the first couple to view the Tithe Barn in its original state, untouched and still a farm with big plans from the Cripps group. We knew it was the venue for us. One year later the barn was finished with 4 weeks until our wedding date, we booked in to visit and have our final planning meeting. Gillian the manager met us upon arrival and walked us in ... I cried and Gillian cried with me! It blew me away, it is simply stunning and has been restored with such empathy and high quality. The Tithe Barn is a very special building and I can’t recommend anyone to look around enough and see for yourself! Not only is the building amazing the whole process from booking our wedding to the big day has been nothing short of perfection. Everything is made so easy with the online account and regular contact, no question is too small. The team at the Tithe Barn are so professional and dedicated to making your day very special. Gillian, wow what a lady she is and such a perfectionist her organisational and team leading skills are second to none which was handed over to Sharon in the evening, and again Sharon was just as fabulous. The food was delicious with everyone having seconds, you need to try the dauphinoise potatoes!
