My wife and I recently married here in March 2024, the venue is just stunning, a great space to dine and entertain guests surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The staff could not do enough for us and in fact on the day it was commented that although they were present delivering a seamless experience, you barely noticed that the staff were there. The quality of the food produced was another consistent comment from our guests, it was delicious. Cripps really looked after us throughout the process leading up to, during and after the wedding. Couldn’t fault it.

Cripps always delivers! Sensational food, considerate and organised staff, a great setting with wonderful spaces both inside and out meaning it suits weddings anytime of the year. I captured Charlotte and Dash's wedding where they were lucky enough to hold their ceremony outside and had drinks on the terrace with garden games setup for guests. The barn is very atmospheric and is well appointed for hosting the wedding breakfast, there is a separate area of the barn for the dancing, meaning the room doesn't need to be turned around before the party starts! There are also plenty of locations to take couples for photos: around the barns and gardens, or even into the nearby field. I can highly recommend this venue!

A dream venue to photograph a wedding at! The day ran smoothly thanks to the coordinator's involvement, the food was excellent, the building has a rustic charm, and the grounds are lovely even though the weather wasn't great. I would like to thank you and congratulate you on providing the most fabulous venue for my Daughter Georgina’s and Jack’s wedding day held on the 22nd December.
The Barn and outside areas were set up beautifully. The food and drink was excellent.

Where to start! We can’t thank you enough for all you did to make our wedding day so special on Saturday, as well as being so helpful and supportive through all the prep. Since we first saw the barn with Aimee in August 2022 (another hot day!) it’s been such a magical time and a big part of that was due to our experience with your team, and Aimee in particular. Your team is everything we could ask for in our main supplier - reliable, friendly, supportive, genuine and fabulously organised. We knew our day was in the most capable hands and you honestly went above and beyond. From managing the surprise band for our guests, having the BEST veggie feast menu, ensuring no one went hungry or thirsty all day (we had so many compliments on the mocktails, canapés and pizza as well as our ‘main event’ feast and wine) and keeping us calm when we ended up needing a stand-in photographer, you all were the ‘glue’ that made our day what it was. The location, the food, the team, the barn. Beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day on our wedding day. We had an issue with our seating plan getting lost in delivery so we managed to get a replacement to arrive on our wedding day at Cripps, which was nerve racking because we didn't know if that would show up, but it arrived and James put it all together without us even knowing!
The photographer we booked also loved the venue so much and was so excited to edit our photos that we received them 2 months early. The children on the day had the best time running through the woods and fields.
The evening firepits and fairy lights made it my favourite part of the day.
Our family and friends, and us of course, stayed at The Stump which is a 5 min drive from the venue. I believe it is under the same company because we were served breakfast by one of the people that served us dinner at the wedding the day before. This was lovely because we had a great chat to her about it and kept the celebration going.

We had our wedding at Cripps Barn last weekend and there are no amount of words to express just how fantastic it was. From start to finish the Cripps team have been nothing short of incredible. I will only say, I knew I wanted to get married at Cripps Barn, the moment I laid eyes on an Instagram post on my explore page. Cripps Barn was everything my husband and I wanted: intimate, rustic, gorgeous and most importantly, the food had amazing reviews. Once we visited, we had no doubts this was the place for us and we didn't consider any other venue. We knew we were in great hands from the start. James, Aimee and Meg were incredibly helpful and clear through their portal, which was great because it had a chat function, and sections with all the details of our day.
On the day, Meg and Abi were our coordinators and my goodness, we didn't have to worry about a thing! Food was incredible, Cripps was amazing, and everything was taken care of for us. We received so many compliments from our friends and family and everyone mentioned how delicious the food was (the potatoes and the chocolate brownies in particular). Thank you also to all the kitchen and bar staff, we had an absolute perfect day!

Wow! What a special place to have had as our wedding venue. Cripps Barn is the most gorgeous place with stunning views inside and outside. The staff are very approachable, polite and knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to make you and your day feel and be as special as it should. The feast night idea is fantastic, to be able to taste and choose your menu and also meet and talk to other future Cripps brides and grooms. We also found the Cripps website amazing, and used a lot of their fantastic recommendations for suppliers, including our amazing photographer (Lush Imaging). All of our guests commented on how beautiful the barn was and also how scrumptious the food was. We were particularly impressed with the excellent quality of catering for our guests with a variety of dietary requirements, who happily had ample food to enjoy on the day! Thank you to James and the rest of the team at Cripps Barn for making our wedding the best day of our lives. Everything was perfect, nothing was any hassle, the small things were always considered and always important, the attention to detail was unparalleled, the attitude was always positive, the food and service was out of this world… that’s rare but so so valued and noticed.
You made our lives not just easier but more exciting during our wedding planning journey.
You completely brought our vision to life on the day - I took a few moments alone to soak it all up, admire it all, and it really was everything I could have dreamed of. So thank you.

We got married in June 2023 and the whole team at Cripps were so helpful from our initial viewing to booking and planning our big day. The team were so responsive and flexible, even with a last minute change from an error I made. Megan was our front of house for the day. She was so reassuring and made everything run seamlessly and made the day just flow perfectly for us and our guests. The venue just speaks for itself. The PERFECT wedding venue. Cripps Barn was the first venue we looked at for our wedding, and we completely fell in love - none of the others we viewed came close. The team are amazing - very responsive to any and all questions we had in the booking process and run up to the event through their great online platform (<24hrs to respond), and a special shout out to Meg who was our venue co-ordinator on the day and did the most amazing job to ensure everything ran smoothly and allowed us (and our wedding party) to relax and enjoy ourselves in the knowledge everything was being looked after.
The food was sublime (particularly the chimichurri beef and the chocolate brownies), there was plenty to go around and our guests all commented on how tasty it was! We also thought it was great value for money given the level of service and quality of the venue - including the team setting up all of our decorations and games etc for the wedding breakfast so we could enjoy the morning of our wedding.
One of our bridal party has ended up booking another of the Cripps venues for their wedding because they have seen us having such a good experience.
Quite simply an amazing team and venue, and we really cannot recommend them highly enough!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings at Cripps Barn several times over the last 10 years and they have been absolutely superb every time!
The team are extremely friendly and diligent. Every detail of the wedding day has been considered and the comfort of their clients is obviously of paramount importance.
I’ve always been made to feel very welcome, and the whole wedding day runs smoothly from start to finish.
The barn itself is impeccable; impressive but homely. The materials used are second to none and the whole place has a feeling of luxury and beauty.
The outdoor ceremony space is a bonus not many venues offer, and creates a gorgeous location to get married among the trees. A great option for a sunny day.
The fields at the back are perfect for photos (we used them a lot at different times of the day), and the lawn behind the barn is perfect for games, reception entertainment or just lazing away a summers evening with a Pimms.
I should also mention that the food is delicious!!

OMG what can I say about Cripps Barn?
This was the first venue we went to look at and we completely fell in love. It is such a beautiful venue with the most perfect surroundings - I've always wanted a rustic, outdoor ceremony and it was like Cripps Barn was pulled straight out of my imagination!
The team were fantastic and so, so helpful. They made the process so easy and Aimee, our event manager was just incredible. She was truly supportive of all of our ideas and was there to hold our hands every step of the way.
They truly went above and beyond to be there for us, and this couldn't be more true than when I lost my mom unexpectedly just 6 weeks before our big day. Aimee and the team were honestly so incredible and understanding, and they did everything they could to support us during the most difficult and emotional time. When the day itself came, Aimee was there to make sure everything was perfect and the day really couldn't have gone any better. Aimee made us feel like we had known her a lifetime and it was almost as if she was just another friend there to support and celebrate with us.
The food was absolutely incredible, and every single person that attended has said it really was the best wedding. Our wedding party in particular has all said they want to go back and relive it all again!
Thank you so, so much to Aimee, James and everyone else at Cripps who helped us create a day that will last a life time. Cripps will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will definitely be back to reminisce at one of the feast nights

We fell in love with Cripps Barn for a winter wedding the second we saw the roaring fire, fairy lights, wooden eaves and twinkling candles…and it didn’t disappoint, making for the most beautiful venue.

The team of staff there are also utterly brilliant - Aimee, James and Meg - thank you a million times over for your faultless communication, your sense of calm, control and professionalism. You allowed us to have the most amazing, fun and stress-free day!

This was particularly appreciated since we had our little one year old on our hands. Our wedding day was something out of a fairytale as cheesy as that sounds. Cripps Barn is the most idyllic place to get married. Every one of my guests commented on the beautiful décor and the amazing location. I had a lot of "that's the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever been to". Cripps Barn was love at first sight. We were lucky enough to have the right weather to get married in the beautiful glade, and had a brilliant day! Our guests all raved about the venue and how brilliant the food was. Our photographers also said it was one of the most beautiful venues they've been to. None of them had been to an outdoor wedding and it was a beautiful experience for all. Jodie our day manager was incredible- so organised, made the day seamless and also just generally really lovely. Both our parents loved her! James our night manager was great fun and answered any questions. All of the staff were very friendly, and also came to us (the bride and groom) first with the canapes every time, so we never starved! Our guests with kids felt like they were completely safe at all times because the venue has lovely outdoor areas and plenty of places to sit too. Adam and I, even with all the adrenaline, always felt at ease. This venue is a dream, in every sense of the word. The first thing we booked, and wouldn't have changed it for the world.

The first time we visited Cripps Barn, we knew right away that it was the venue we wanted for our wedding. The grounds and building are both stunning - we had our ceremony in the glade and it was picturesque. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly throughout the process and they were always prompt to respond to any queries we had. The online portal was really useful to keep a track of our booking too. On the day, James (our front of house manager) was nothing short of amazing. He was on top of absolutely everything, leaving us worry free and able to enjoy the day. Such an amazing venue and the staff were fantastic. The venue has a very relaxing vibe and the two main rooms really flow together. If you opt for the inside and outside decorations you don’t really need much else apart from table decorations. We used one of their recommended discos and photo booth companies and they were both excellent. The food was delicious and we were really glad we chose to have canapés as it filled a gap between the ceremony and the main meal. Our evening buffet of cheese, bread, crackers, grapes and chutneys went down a storm with our guests too.

What I liked about our wedding at Cripps Barn was that it rained, so instead of panicking and getting annoyed, we all embraced it. I put on glittery wellies. We looked at so many barns but as soon as we visited Cripps, we fell in love with the place. Many of the barns we looked at were purpose built wedding venues so although ‘barn-like’, they lacked the rustic feel. Cripps Barn was originally a barn so has so much character and makes it a very special venue. In 2019, out of all the Barns we visited, Cripps Barn seemed to have the most weddings booked in – we sensed there would be a good reason for this!

  As soon as you arrive, you drive down the long drive way and then you will immediately see the Barn with the beautiful gardens and fields surrounding it. The garden is immaculate with many of our keen gardening guests commenting on how well kept the garden is. On entry to the Barn, you will see the two main rooms, which look amazing. 

We were also looking for somewhere where they have the people, systems and processes in place to ensure planning our big day would be as smooth as possible. Since our initial planning meeting ten months ago, up to and including the wedding day itself, I can honestly say the support has been incredible. All conversations are logged on their internal portal to ensure nothing gets missed.  No question was too large or small.

The whole Cripps team is brilliant too. They’re experts in the field and we always felt in great hands. They are all so happy to help and you can tell they enjoy the work that they do. Even though they support with so many weddings, they were always sharing our excitement and dream in the build up to the big day. An important note too, looking back over the past two years, it seems most of the Cripps team has stayed the same.

 As for the day itself, we are still on such a high reflecting on the day. So many of our guests have been in touch saying it was the most perfect day, set in the most stunning of venues they have ever been too. They also commented on how the whole day ran to time, as they had been to other weddings where it’s always running late! This was due to the Cripps Team who were on-site throughout the day, ensuring everything went to plan. Our guests also commented on the food, saying how delicious and tasty it was.

In summary, if you’re looking for a rustic Barn, with loads of character, delicious food on the day and a team of staff who support you with the build up to the big day, get in touch with Cripps Barn. We got married on the 8th December 2018 and from start to finish the whole Cripps Barn experience was utterly magical. The beautiful barn speaks for itself. It is well looked after, decorated in a way that means that it feels authentic and rustic. But what makes it even more incredible were the staff. “The venue is stunning and the staff were amazing. The weather was good so we were able to get married outside which was just amazing. The staff were ready as soon as the ceremony was over and handed out drinks and canapes to the guest which as you can imagine made a lot of hungry and thirsty people happy! The food was phenomenal. We had the rotisserie chicken and strawberries with cream for the wedding breakfast and the pork rolls for the evening do. The venue catered for all of our guests with dietary requirements, including me The Bride. “At a wedding fair my daughter was asked what her ‘perfect’ wedding venue would be like. Having described it she was advised to go to visit Cripps Barn. One visit and she knew this was the venue she had been imagining - candles, open brickwork, flowers, fairy lights... The older, stone part of the barn where the ceremonies take place has a sense of occasion and history, small enough to feel intimate and allow guests to be close to the ceremony, big enough to accommodate lots of friends and family and have a real feel of celebration. The newer section of the barn where the Wedding Breakfast takes place is light and open and can be made as relaxed or formal as the bride and groom prefer. As it was a lovely day, weather wise, guests were able to make good use of the outside areas as were the photographer and videographer. Use of this outside space continued well into the night due to the fire pits and warm evening. However, as beautiful as the barn is, what makes it the wedding venue perfect is the team of people who actually make the weddings work! The front of house, the organising, the cooking, the cleaning, the gardening, the bar staff, the liaising, the calm words - everything that goes into making a wedding run smoothly. Everyone was so friendly, calm and helpful. The food was a delicious success. We had the best day. “From the moment we entered Cripps Barn, we immediately knew that it was the place we wanted to get married. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, helpful and friendly from our very first visit and this attention was maintained throughout the entire process of our wedding planning. We also visited for a planning meeting with Jodie, who helped us make choices about our day, without ever applying pressure. “Cripps was the first venue we viewed and after seeing it, we didn’t need to see any others! We couldn’t be happier that we chose to get married here. After 18 months of planning and wondering what our day would be like, it surpassed all expectations. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The food was incredible, our guests are still complimenting us on it and we’ve had family members trying to replicate the menu. Baz and Fred’s pizzas were probably the best I have ever eaten. Cripps barn is simply the perfect wedding venue. The location is ideal as it is surrounded by beautiful fields away from any other disturbances or distractions. It provides options for a beautiful outdoor wedding in the glade and a cosy indoor wedding in the stone hall. The grounds are stunning and extremely well maintained and allow many beautiful photo’s to be taken. Even now, 5 days after the wedding, our guests are still talking about the quality and abundance of food at the wedding. The service was impeccable - nobody’s glass was ever empty and the food was served in a timely and professional manner.

Special mention to Lucy, who was our Front of House manager for our wedding and Dave, who was the evening manager. From the moment we setup at 9:00 am, our minds were set at ease with the clear direction of Lucy who helped organise everything. And Dave, who expertly looked after our guests well into the evening with a seamless handover from Lucy. All of the staff were incredible - they were so good, you didn’t even realise they were there. Present, but also invisible, they really made the day stress free and magical.

We cannot recommend this venue enough and the words fail to correctly sum up just how incredible everything was from start to finish. Thank you for making our day perfect.

“We fell in love with Cripps Barn the moment we walked through the door. The atmosphere and character oozes from every stone and corner - the warming smell of wood smoke is so rustic and welcoming, it will forever remind us of our wedding day! When our day came it rained and rained, but the staff were amazing and made everything work perfectly even though it was too wet to go outside for reception drinks. We had so many compliments on the venue and in particular the food - the food here is something else! Our sirloin steak bricks were cooked to perfection on the barbecue and our vegetarian friends raved about the veggie options too. “Where do we start? From the first time we visited Cripps Barn we knew it was the place for us. It’s absolutely stunning, full of character, a fantastic location and extremely friendly staff. We booked our wedding on the Open Day in 2017 and had regular updates from the team from there. We had the most fabulous wedding at Cripps Barn! After being together for 10 years we knew we wanted to get married somewhere beautiful but understated and we completely fell in love with Cripps. Both my husband and I grew up in the Cotswolds and the first time we visited we knew it was the place for us! The beautiful fireplace, gorgeous flagstone floors, the open yet cosy feel... I could go on! The whole planning process was such a dream and everyone at Cripps was so helpful (over our whole two and a half year engagement)!! There is a fabulous system where all emails, ideas and requests are kept online so you can easily keep track of your day and your spending. I absolutely adore Jodie and Lucy who both were amazing over email and in person! Popping in for planning meetings they made us feel very relaxed and were so accommodating to all of our requests. Turning up on our wedding day, Jodie made me feel completely at ease and she made sure everything ran smoothly and was just amazing! The ceremony was perfect and gosh - the food was just incredible! We had the roast pork, which I highly recommend. We had so many happy guests who complimented the food! (I also suggest going to one of the feast nights - we had a brilliant time and actually made some new friends too!) All our guests felt so looked after for the whole day! We had a wedding bake off, sparklers, marshmallows, a great band and enjoyed partying until 1.00 with all of our friends and family.

The website saved hours of trawling the Internet many options for suppliers, recommended by Cripps was very comforting. The messaging system made everything clear & simple My messages were always answered quickly. We met to discuss the details we were excited you guys made us feel like our wedding was the only one. Your staff’s excitement & passion for what they do is extraordinary. Considering you do weddings most days that is a serious love for your job & a very happy team a credit to you. The theme for our wedding was woodland fairytale what better place to make this come to life than this beautiful venue. We got married inside the British summer didn’t play ball but it was perfect & certainly not in anyway a disappointment in fact you could not have topped it. The feeling I got when I walked into the barn will stay with me forever it looked incredible and was so full of love & magic my heart was ready to burst. The whole day was seamless not even noticing the staff making everything happen. Jodie looked after us throughout the day she was superb felt like an old friend there whenever we needed. Nothing too much trouble & again full of that Cripps barn magic. You guys undoubtedly know how to throw the best wedding & anybody considering this venue needs to listen to this. Everything was perfect everything. Our hearts are full of magical memories & each time we think back to our special day we are filled with that magical Cripps feeling. Thank you truly.

“We fell in love with Cripps Barn from the moment we saw it, and at no stage during the process did it disappoint! The venue itself is totally gorgeous, and all our guests commented on how stunning it was - it really was the perfect setting for our special day. The staff in the lead up to the wedding and on the day were brilliant, Jodie was so lovely and organised our day fantastically. The food was yummy, we had the meat platter - all our guests loved it. The desert was out of this world - we had the chocolate fondant - the only downside was that we were so full we couldn’t eat more than 1 portion. “The setting of Cripps Barn speaks for itself, it is surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and has lots of outdoor space for your guests to spend time in. Before the wedding, the staff were incredible - so helpful and accommodating for our needs. The food tasting event was brilliantly organised and we got to try all the delicious food (which made choosing really difficult!). On the day, all the food was divine and our guests were raving about how amazing it all was. We would definitely recommend the beef brick with each table having a chef to carve the meat - was great fun. Cripps are booked up most of the year and for very good reason. It is a magical wedding venue with exceptional staff and facilities. You will be bowled over if you choose this as your wedding venue and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

“My daughter’s wedding was held at your Cripps Barn last Thursday and I just wanted to say thank you to your staff for making it such a fantastic day. The whole venue looked wonderful, the stone barn, the reception area, the gardens and patio were all prepared to a very high standard. The people serving and attending to our requirements were extremely attentive to each of the guests without ever appearing intrusive. They were invisible most of the time except when they were required, and I wasn’t alone in this comment. The food was the best that I have had at any wedding and there was plenty of it. Most of the guests I spoke to commented on the fun in dressing up in the apron and chef’s hat and carving the meat. You should be very proud of the people that are working for you and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you to anyone who was thinking of arranging a wedding. Once again thank you for helping to make my daughter and son-in-law’s day so wonderful.

“From the first time we came to see Cripps to the actual big day itself, we have loved this venue in its entirety. The venue itself is perfect, rural, tucked away in a beautiful location with perfect views all around (great photograph opportunities). Intimate enough for out 50 or so guests without making us feel swamped. We got married outside in the glade with a humanist celebrant. The wonderful thing about Cripps was that they had the option of inside the barn or outside, each equally as beautiful as the other. This really swung it for us in terms of choice. The staff are brilliant, they are extremely experienced and very good at what they do - making people’s big days perfect. No detail was left out and our front of house (Jodie) and meeting planner (Flora) made the whole process smooth and enjoyable, taking a lot of stress as away. Always on hand to answer my last minute questions and handle my panics on the phone. Couldn’t rate them highly enough. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food it was cooked to absolute perfection. The chef accommodated our dietary needs perfectly even at last minute which goes to show that this is a venue that does go the extra mile to make your day a perfect one. Quick and no-fuss serving on big platters. The waiters replaced drinks on the table timely and efficiently. Camping - this was a major positive for us. A lot of our guests opted to camp alongside the venue with us (Canvas Cottage - a glamping company can be found on the Cripps website).
